Christine Fredrickson, B.A.
Christine joined the Learning Solutions team in 2010, and started consulting in 2012. She holds a Bachelors of Arts in Clinical Psychology from William Jessup University. Her experience has included behavior support and case management in the home and school settings, as well as adaptive skills training for families.
Her greatest source of inspiration is when we figure out the “why” behind a child’s behavior, whether it is refusing to answer the question “Where do you live?” because you are asking while at his house so he thinks you are joking, cheering “one, two, three” and hitting your face because he is trying to cover your eyes and show you he wants to play hide and seek, or shouting “Touch nose” and giving herself tokens because she’s ready to run program and earn her reward. Once we understand the motivation behind it, we can appreciate and reward the child’s unique perspective and resourcefulness, as well as teach more effective ways to communicate.
