Job Description:

Behavior Consultants are responsible for conducting assessments, developing and implementing behavior plans, training relevant parties and providing ongoing support to a team of tutors who provide direct service to children and adolescents with developmental disabilities, their families, and schools. Services to be provided include: problem specific consultation, intensive in-home ABA program development and training for children with autism, staff training, and school consultations.

Duties include, but not limited to: 1. Attend, participate in and contribute to all training sessions conducted y Learning Solutions. 2. Provide training, ongoing supervision and evaluation of a team of tutors. 3. Train tutors in Discrete trial teaching, Activity based intervention, PECS and other methods as required. 4. Plan and lead team meetings. 5. Create, implement, and oversee Behavior Intervention plans. 6. Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of child. 7. Analyze data collected by tutors on a consistent basis as well as identify needed

prevention and intervention strategies. 8. Write and present quarterly/monthly progress reports outlining client’s progress toward goals and objectives. 9. Develop appropriate goals and objectives for clients. 10. Change and modify client’s program as needed. 11. Develop and introduce new programs and curriculum as needed. 12. Communicate with parents/guardians regarding child’s strengths and deficit areas. 13. Report to supervising consultant regarding child’s progress, strengths, and need areas. 14. Responsible for monitoring case hours per children on their assigned cases. 15. Maintain a basis of knowledge of recent research related to Autism and Behavior Analysis. 16. Plan and facilitate social groups for children of varying ages and developmental levels (demonstrate the ability to differentiate lessons and reinforcement systems). 17. Maintains strictest confidentiality; adheres to all HIPAA guidelines/ regulations.

Job Requirements: -Part-time (Monday through Friday 8am-6pm working 20-34 hours a week) -We are currently looking for staff in the Galt, Elk Grove, South Sacramento areas.

Education: -Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Education, Child Development, Social Work, Behavioral Science or related field.

Experience: -Minimum two years of experience working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis with persons with developmental disabilities, including those with challenging behaviors.

Physical Requirements: Bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, turning, twisting, standing for extended periods,

reaching, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Other requirements: Must have a clean criminal background check, negative TB test, good references, and reliable means of transportation.
